Price Remodel in Arroyo Grande

Homeowners in Arroyo Grande were looking to upgrade their existing basement into a modern and comfortable granny flat. The existing 1,000 SF basement area contained two water heaters, half a bathroom and multiple vacant rooms. Artifex Industries saw the potential for this remodel and was ambitious to meet with the homeowners to discuss the layout of the updated flat. Starting construction in early February, the project is currently in the construction phase and is making timely progress. Here are some of the upgrades and features that Artifex Industries is adding into the upgraded flat:

Before and After

The original basement area was mostly empty and only had the two water heaters, a sink, half a bathroom, and water/gas lines for the main residence. Currently, cabinets and many of the appliances are being installed to help create a stunning final product that the owners are sure to enjoy!

My husband and I live in a 3,200 square foot house with our two sons. We wanted to remodel our entire home. That included the master bath, master bedroom, kitchen, dining room and adding two master walk-in closets. We were unsure of which builder to use. Then we were referred to Artifex by some friends who had just used them to build a second story addition.

I was skeptical but after talking to them we decided to go ahead with the project. They did an amazing job and our house turned out better then we first imagined. The job turned out to be bigger then we first planned because we made several changes. Artifex was really helpful during the changes. Our house really looks great!

We were off a bit on the big window, but you were able to get what we wanted for a fair price and it turned out great. I needed to install a washer/dryer in one of my bathrooms. Artifex did the job very quickly and it cost less than my usual contractor’s bid. The shower was removed and the washer/dryer replaced it. They also converted the bathtub into a shower/bathtub. The workmanship is excellent and we really liked the craftsman they sent out.

My company built quality custom homes for more than 30 years. I am now retired so hired a contractor to convert my 3,000 sq. ft. barn into a living space.

I’ve been a paraplegic for 35 years and use a wheelchair. During this time I have made do with standard bathrooms. As I’ve grown older it has become more difficult to get by without an accessible bathroom.

I hired Artifex to make my bathroom accessible. They did an excellent job in redoing / renovating / remodeling my existing bathroom into an accessible bathroom. In so doing, Artifex accomplished this without making my bathroom look like a hospital or convalescent home. The space looks like a high end hotel bathroom while still meeting the needs of a wheelchair. The space works equally well for my wife who is able-bodied. After all these years of making do, it is nice to be able to move and shower easily in this space.

The work Artifex did not only improves the quality of my life, but looks outstanding. A fine combination of form and function.
